Our Story & Mission
Bringing a gentle order to family life, one thread at a time
Kithwise was founded on the belief that families deserve calm, clear support โ not pressure, and never regulated advice.
Back to HomeWho We Are
The story behind Kithwise
Kithwise grew out of a simple observation: when families face change โ whether a bereavement, a household merge, a divorce, or just the accumulation of years โ the paperwork rarely gets the attention it needs. Important documents go missing. Conversations become fraught. Decisions get delayed because no one quite knows where anything is or how to start.
Founded in Hua Hin, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Kithwise was shaped by years of working alongside families across Thailand โ expatriate households, multigenerational Thai families, and internationally blended homes. The name itself comes from the old English word kith, meaning friends, neighbours, and kin โ the people around you when life feels heavy.
Our work is firmly educational and organisational. We help families sort, label, and understand their own documents. We share general communication tools that make difficult conversations a little easier. We train facilitators so that more families can access this kind of calm, structured support. At every step, we are clear: we are not lawyers, therapists, or financial advisers. We are simply people who care about helping families feel less overwhelmed.
Our Mission
To offer unhurried, compassionate support that helps families organise their information and communicate with greater care โ through education and practical tools, not regulated advice.
Our Vision
A world where every family, regardless of their circumstances, has access to clear, simple tools to manage their own documents and approach change with more confidence.
Our Values
Clarity over complexity. Compassion over pressure. Transparency about what we are and what we are not. Practical outcomes above all else.

How We Work
Our standards and commitments
Strict Confidentiality
Everything shared in a session remains private. We do not discuss client information with third parties and handle all personal data in line with Thai PDPA requirements.
Education-Only Scope
Every Kithwise service is educational or organisational in nature. We are transparent about the limits of our work and always encourage clients to seek qualified professionals when regulated advice is needed.
Practical Deliverables
Each session ends with a tangible output โ a folder kit, a handbook, or a framework โ so that families leave with something they can use immediately.
Inclusive & Non-Judgmental
Kithwise works with families of all structures and backgrounds. We approach every situation without assumption and adapt our approach to what works for each household.
PDPA-Aligned Data Handling
Client data is stored securely and processed in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act. We collect only what is needed and retain it only as long as necessary.
Ongoing Quality Review
Our workshops and materials are reviewed regularly based on participant feedback and facilitator input, so the content stays relevant and the experience stays useful.
Our Expertise
Family administration support in Hua Hin and across Thailand
Kithwise operates at the intersection of two practical needs that often go unaddressed in family life: the need to find and understand important paperwork, and the need to talk about sensitive matters without things unravelling. These two needs appear together most often during transitions โ when a family member passes away, when a couple separates, when adult children take on more responsibility for ageing parents, or when households merge and need to bring their administrative lives into one coherent whole.
Working from Hua Hin, we serve families across Prachuap Khiri Khan and throughout southern Thailand, and we work remotely with clients in Bangkok, Chiang Mai, Phuket, and internationally. Our approach draws on principles from adult learning, information management, and compassionate communication โ applied through short, structured sessions that families can actually complete.
For organisations โ whether NGOs, family support services, legal firms with a community outreach dimension, or workplace employee assistance programmes โ our Facilitator Training Advisory offers a way to bring this kind of calm, structured family support to a wider audience. We provide the training materials and delivery framework; your facilitators carry it forward.
None of what Kithwise offers is a substitute for professional legal, financial, medical, or therapeutic support. We are honest about that distinction and we hold to it carefully. What we offer instead is the clarity and the tools that make it easier for families to have the right conversations, find the right documents, and arrive at professional appointments better prepared.
